[Erenville can't help the small smile when he feels the arms around his stomach. He also leans down just enough to meet Kayan for the kiss to his cheek. He flips the bacon one last time to check how cooked they are, along with the sausage and once Kayan is sitting, he is plating the meat and eggs. Half of the hashbrowns follow soon after. The other half went onto another empty plate.]
This meal is for you, I'll be making something else for myself in minute.
[Honestly, he underestimated the plate size a little but once he was certain nothing would fall out, he picked it up to set on front of the Miqo'te. A fork, knife, and a napkin followed after.]
Enjoy. Happy birthday, Kayan.
[He didn't linger much, Kayan would let him know if the breakfast was cooked to his likely and he grabbed two more eggs to crack into the skillet. The juices from the meat were enough to cook the eggs on and after adding some seasonings, he let them cook while cutting another slice of bread, buttering both sides and setting it into the skillet that the hashbrowns had been in. Faster to simply toast it this way rather than waiting on the toaster.]
[A little unsure, but realising that the other man would probably prefer something a touch lighter than the kinds of hearty meals common in Limsa Lominsa, he sits down without any further comment or complaint and waits with his tail flicking eagerly back and forth behind him.
He doesn't immediately dig in, though he doesn't exactly wait either. There are a few mouthfuls gone by the time Erenville joins him.]
When did you learn to cook like this? [E'kayan asks playfully, finally making a proper start on his meal.] I wouldn't have thought you'd have that much reason to be around La Noscea.
His own plate had the other half of the hashbrowns and two eggs on top of the toast. Once seated, he cut into the eggs so the yolk would run into the bread and some of the hashbrowns.]
With mother gone more often than not, the Aunties were the ones who were around the raise me but sometimes I still had to fend for myself. They taught me to cook. [He took a bite of yolk-y bread and the white of an egg, savoring the bite for a moment before continuing.] La Noscea is not the only place to know how to make sweet breads. 'Tis called pan dulce in Turali. That being said, I simply guessed based on what I remember and how it tasted. Was I able to recreate it to your liking?
And he looks very pleased indeed as he works his way through his breakfast, trying each part before he starts to mix anything together.]
I think I could be happy with anything that you made for me. [He replies happily. Though Erenville can't see it, his feet give a cheery little wiggle under the table. Erenville definitely will be able to see how the Miqo'te's ears wiggle in turn, though.]
But yes, it's very good. I don't think I tried the Turali sweet breads.
{There's a soft snort, but a light blush in bashfulness. He highly doubted he was that good a cook, he just knew his way around a kitchen! The ear wiggles are always adorable, though, and also a good way to know E'kayan wasn't just saying that.]
Oh, how exciting. [Not a hint of sarcasm - he very much means it.] I think I'd take hunting down sweet breads over needing to save the whole star from annihilation again any day.
[Sounds like a nice break. Hopefully Eorzea and the lands beyond it can manage to stay in one piece for a little while so he can have a break and do something else.]

Then, we have our next quest when we return home.
[There were so many kinds, too.]
